2027: You and Your “Aggrieved Stateless Leaders” Stand No Chance Against Tinubu — Bwala Taunts Atiku, ADC

By Akanni Toba

Daniel Bwala, special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on policy communication, has said the 2027 general elections will be a walk in the park for his principal adding that former Vice-president Atiku Abubakar  stands no chance of defeating Tinubu.

Bwala described the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a gathering of “aggrieved stateless leaders”.

Tinubu’s aide spoke in reaction to remarks made by Abubakar on Wednesday while featuring on an Arise TV programme.

Bwala said it is almost certain that Abubakar would be fielded as the ADC presidential standard bearer come 2027, stressing that Tinubu would defeat him again as he did in 2023, when the ex-vice-president had governors and state structures behind him.

“ADC is a gathering of “aggrieved stateless leaders”, Bwala said in a post on his verified X handle on Wednesday night.

“My former boss @atiku said ‘with a coalition candidate, President Tinubu @officialABAT is dead on arrival. Lol,” Bwala wrote.

“But we know you are the coalition candidate YET (no vex sir), he defeated you in 2023 when you had governors, states, and structures. These governors, states and structures are with him.

“With a coalition of aggrieved ‘STATELESS’ leaders, I doubt if President Tinubu would bother to check the scoreboard on the day.” he added

Atiku, who is a perennial presidential candidate, has taken a shot at the most exalted political seat in the country six times, appearing on the ballot as a presidential candidate on three occasions — 2007, 2019, and 2023.

However, while speaking on the Arise TV programme, Abubakar said the 2027 general election will be his last shot at the presidency.

The former Vice President expressed confidence that the ADC has what it takes to give the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) a run for its money in 2027.

He added that he would back any presidential candidate fielded by the coalition.
