BREAKING: Nigerian Filling Stations Adjust Fuel Pumps To Reflect Dangote Refinery’s Price Hike

Filling stations across the country have adjusted their fuel pumps to reflect the price increase announced by Dangote Refinery.

This is as the  indigenous refinery raised its gantry petrol price earlier today.

Our correspondent observed that MRS, BOVAS and other filling stations have quickly adjusted their fuel price to N1,370 and N1,365 per liter from N1,292 and N1,295 in Abuja.

This means that the petroleum product marketers raised their fuel between N75 and N78 per liter.

This development comes amid the global disruption caused by the war in the gulf region following the joint attack launched by both Israel and the US on Iran

Analysts said another factor that may be responsible for the development is recent exit from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries by UAE.

They are of the opinion that UAE’s exit from OPEC may have forced Dangote Refinery to raise its gantry petrol by  N75 per liter from N1,200 due to an upsurge in crude oil prices to above $115 per liter.
