ADC Dominated By Desperate Power-hungry People, Opposition Has Collapsed In Nigeria — Femi Fani-kayode

Femi Fani-Kayode, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany, has dismissed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has a group of desperate, power-hungry individuals who can’t collectively mount a credible opposition or pose a threat to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Fani-Kayode stated that the ADC is amalgam of discredited politicians driven by inordinate ambitions rather than the desire to put the country on the path of progress.
The former Minister of Aviation added that a party that lacks unity of purpose and cohesion can’t achieve the goal of ending the over a decade reign of the APC.
The ambassador made this claim in a post on his Facebook page on Wednesday stressing that the opposition has become a spent force in Nigeria
“I don’t see ADC as an opposition party: I see them as an association of people that are desperate for power.
“Individuals that are discredited, individuals that have no hope in hell of moving this nation forward. The opposition has collapsed in Nigeria.
“There is no opposition because they don’t even know how to be in opposition. How can they keep the government on its toes when they are busy bickering amongst themselves, fighting amongst themselves and they are fast asleep in bed snoring,” he wrote.
The ADC comprises defectors from the crisis-ridden Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a splintered group from the Labour Party (LP) and a smattering of politicians from other parties.
Though a fledgling, the party has been bedevilled by internal crisis with some members challenging the legitimacy of the process that produced former Senate President David Mark and former Minister of Interior Rauf Aragbesola as National Chairman and Secretary respectively in court.
