Ogunlana Celebrates Oyo APC Leader Obisesan @65
By Akanni Toba
A staunch member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Comrade Rotimi Ogunlana popularly known as ‘Democracy’ has felicitated Barrister Tirimisiyu Ayanlowo Obisesan on the occasion of his 65th birthday celebration.
Ogunlana hailed the former Oyo Commissioner for Environment in a special congratulatory message made available to the peoplestemplate’s reporter on Monday evening.
Heaping encomiums on Obisesan, Ogunlana described him as “a true leader and a shepherd who guides and guards his flock of followers with exceptional courage, humility and wisdom.”
The message reads in part, ” Happy Birthday, Barrister Tirimisiyu Ayanlowo Obisesan on this your special day. It takes divine grace and mercy for any human being to have lived for over six decades on the surface of this planet. You must have fought and won many battles, weathered many storms to come this far. Yet, you remain strong and agile like a teenager just trying to find his feet in the murky terrain of life. At 65, you look like a dashing young man still learning the ropes of the dicey game of life. This is a testament to your philosophy of life which prioritizes the welfare and well-being of people over personal aggrandizement.”
Ogunlana continued, “You are a human dynamo: a distinguished entrepreneur, a philanthropist and visionary leader worth his salt. It’s a tribute to your political acumen that under your watch as Commissioner for Environment, during Abiola Ajimobi’s reign, Oyo State was transformed from an eyesore to a cynosure. You brought your sense of nurture to bear on the landscape and everything– the fauna and flora — came alive in shimmering iridescence. Splendour replaced squalor in a state often derided for its age long filthiness.”
“Your contributions to the progress of APC in Oyo State are immense and immeasurable; they have reverberated to the national level making you a household name and a subject of discussion even in the corridors of power. You are from a lineage of dexterous drummers. Ayanlowo, you have an ear for rhythms, therefore dance with mesmerizing footwork to the mellifluous mix of dundun and maracas as you gently mount the next rung on the existential ladder. Happy Birthday, Aare Alasa Balogun of Ibadan land.” Comrade Ogunlana added
