We’ll Defeat, Destroy Disable Iranian Military Capabilities — Hegseth Boasts

The United States’ Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, has said that what Iran has witnessed so far in the ongoing war against the Islamic Republic is just a tip of the iceberg describing what will soon befall the gulf nation as its “worst nightmare”.

Hegseth threatened that the US was on course to defeat, destroy and disable Iran’s military capabilities at a pace and tempo the world has not seen before.

Hegseth spoke on Friday during a press briefing on the military operations against Iran which was held at the US defense headquarters in Pentagon.

He boasted that the US is now in control of the Iranian skies adding that country is now more vulnerable than it has ever been at any point in its history. Hegseth noted that the US would not relent until it brings the country to its knees.

Hegseth said, ” Iran has no air defense, Iran has no Airforce, Iran has no Navy. Their missiles launchers and drones are being destroyed or shot out of the sky. Their missiles volume is down, 90%.

Reacting to what’s happening at the straits of Hormouz, Hegseth stressed that Iran was just displaying what he described as “sheer desperation” allaying the fears of US’ allies in the gulf region and the world at large that the US is “dealing with it” and there is “no need to worry about it.”

According to Hegseth, the US is flying “over the top of Iran and Tehran fighters and bombers all days picking targets as they choose as our intelligence are getting better and better and more refined.”

Hegseth noted that the Iranian Royal Guards Corps (IRGC) are terrified at the great and insurmountable presence of the US in Iranian sky, adding that, “the Iranian regime sees only two things on the side of the aircraft, the stars and stripes and the star of David . The evil regime’s worst nightmare.”
